I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart) I am never without it (anywhere I go you go, my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling)

Ho!  Ho!  Ho!  Hope everyone is well out there, and ready to see Santa Claus!  I know my kids are.  16 days, but  who’s counting?  Here’s a little glimpse into our family this holiday season;)

Mark and I have managed to keep all of our kids alive this year and we even got to celebrate 7 years of marriage–just the two of us–in Durango, Colorado. We had a great time eating, hiking, and playing some serious games of foosball. Tragically, Mark took my foosball champion title. We still love Crossfit and do as many WOD’s a week as we can squeeze in. Mark is still working with the family at Petex Sign and continues to explore new investments and trade mining stock . I am still growing my little photography business and selling AdvoCare supplements, but mostly trying to keep the ship sailing smoothly at home. I am so thankful I get to do that. Jaden is about to celebrate his 12th birthday! He is in 6th grade this year. He plays baseball (catcher), plays the bells in band, and is in the Math Club. He is an outstanding student and an even better big brother. We are pretty excited that we will soon have a live-in-babysitter;)We could not be more proud of him and what a wonderful young man he is. Eve is 5! She LOVES kindergarten. She and I share a love of reading and art. She reads to us every night and has filled our house with beautiful artwork. Mostly of dogs and bats. The occasional rainbow. Haha. She is the sweetest girl with such a heart full of love. She says when she grows up she wants to work at Sunday school, be a Mom, and a Veterinarian–in that order.:)Scarlett, oh, Scarlett. Scarlett is 2 and owning it! Mark and I were just discussing that we think she is starting to emerge from her wild ways into a darling little lady. She is her Daddy’s mini-me with blonde curls:)She LOVES to swing and bounce and RUN. Underdogs are her favorite and, of course, the Super Mario Brothers. She is very brave and thoughtful. We got a puppy about 6 months ago and Vega has become Scarlett’s little sister. She bosses her around a little bit, gives her a treat, & repeat. It is hilarious. Vega doesn’t seem to mind:)I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!

Invisible Hero phase 1

I have been on sort of a hiatus.  I have been working I promise (just slacking on my blog), but all the while I felt like something was missing.  I have been searching myself for quite some time trying to figure out what exactly was missing and what direction to go in.  I want to give.  I want to do something meaningful. I want to listen to the voice of truth that has put these desires on my heart.  In this place a little ministry was born.  It will (hopefully) be called “The Invisible Hero.” First I have to find out if I can use this!  My son won an award at Kanakuk Kamps 2 years ago and it was entitled “The Invisible Hero.”  This person is rich in character and serves others when no one is watching.  I just loved that so much, and was so filled as a Mother in that moment because that is what all Mom’s want, I think, for their kids–to display that sort of character, and just be a good human being.  It stayed with me.  There are many more reasons, but not enough time to go through it all at this moment.  I have a very energetic four year old that must have my attention right NOW!  Farewell for now.
